From September, a national vaccination campaign against RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) starts in the Netherlands. This virus can cause serious respiratory infections in young babies and is one of the main reasons for hospital admissions among children worldwide. The RIVM, together with the GGDs (municipal health services) and youth health organisations, is making sure that every baby in the Netherlands has the chance to be protected.
Vaccines kept safely at temperature
An essential condition for administering vaccines is that they are stored continuously between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. Only then is their effectiveness guaranteed. This is a challenge when vaccines are not only administered at centres, but also need to be available during home visits.
This is where MediCooler comes in. We supply cooling bags specially designed for transporting medication and vaccines safely. Our solutions mean that healthcare professionals can rely on vaccines always staying within the required temperature, even on the go.
Right to the front door
Thanks to this approach, the GGDs and youth health organisations can literally take the vaccines right to families' front doors. This makes it easy for parents to have their baby vaccinated, without having to travel to a vaccination location.
